Frequently asked questions
Can you take over from my current secretary, accountant or tax agent?
Yes. We request the statutory records, accounts and tax files from your current adviser, check what is outstanding and agree a catch-up plan before the next deadline.
Do you audit companies whose books you keep?
We have our own approved auditor and an independent partner audit firm. If we keep your books, your audit is normally done by the partner firm, so it stays independent and credible to banks and LHDN. If your books are kept elsewhere, our own auditor can audit you.
Is my company exempt from audit?
Under SSM Practice Directive 10/2024, a private company can qualify for audit exemption if it meets two of three tests on revenue, total assets and employees. The thresholds rise in stages up to 2027. We check your eligibility every year and, if you qualify, prepare and lodge unaudited financial statements instead.
Do I need to change my accounting software?
Not necessarily. We recommend Zoho Books for e-Invoice and live reporting, but we can work from your existing system and migrate when it suits you.
Are e-signatures accepted for company resolutions?
Electronic signatures are generally recognised in Malaysia for most company documents. Where a wet signature or a specific form is required, we tell you in advance.
How are fees charged?
A fixed annual fee per service, billed monthly, plus government fees at cost. One-off work such as incorporation or catch-up filings is quoted separately.
